Plans of a movie adaptation of the popular US sitcom Arrested Development seem to be underway as producers await for its big-screen proposal. Rumours about the cult show being made into a feature film began to circulate last year after actor Jason Bateman, who plays the lead character in the series, was reported to have met with the show’s creator Mitch Hurwitz.  Meanwhile, Hurwitz is working with the FOX to develop an animated sitcom Sit Down, Shut Up based on an Australian live action comedy.  Sit Down, Shut up focuses on self-centred school teachers, and execs are currently casting voice actors.
