You Tube Vs Hulu

HuluYouTube’s newest corporate competitor, HULU, brought to you by FOX and NBC, is now open for business.  The site is an online video on demand service with hundreds of movies and TV shows…which you can watch for free…with brief adverts.  As for content, the “anywhere, anytime” site, only available to users in the United States, lets you catch up on episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and King Of The Hill, TV shows from FOX, as well as shows from NBC, and over fifteen cable channels.  Hulu is not a repository of user generated content like YouTube or a download service like iTunes.  TV shows and movies can only be streamed through Hulu or one of its partners’ Flash players, not downloaded to your desktop or portable media player.  What are you waiting for, get streaming…

hey FX

I was so hyped up by the press and media coverage of Hulu in the UK - went through the registration and waited for the reply - some few weeks.

BUT: guess what?! After it being publicised in the UK and etc, your customer support people then tell me that it's not available outside the US.  grrrrrr

NOT IMPRESSED!!

I would love to use the service, as I am not a SKY subscriber, and whilst I have Virgin Media, I REFUSE to pay the absurdly stupid hig amount the the L package in order to watch one channel (FXUK in case you where wondering).

Perhaps you could place some pressure on Virgin suggesting that they allow FX as a 'bolt on' channel to any package?

Anyway - when is Hulu coming to the UK?? Hurry up please!!!!

Chris
