TRUE BLOODY MARY

The following post is not for the squeemish.

All weekend, Ruby Lo in Marble Arch London will be selling shots of FX creation the True Bloody Mary, inspired by vampire hit True Blood.  Ingredients: the usual tomato juice, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, a splash of tabasco and a dash of horseradish. Oh and course a sprinkle of real BLOOD!!! Well, pig's blood. We've tried it and don't worry, you wont turn into a vampire! Its suppose to be very nutritious although I did feel the urge to bite people the next day....

SURVIVAL OF THE V-ITTEST

All you True Vampire fans out there, this one's for you.  We've got a bet going around the hard-working offices of FX, and we need your help.  According to a recent interview with Stephen Moyer, new sexy addition to the Vampire actors list, Edward Cullen (star of Twilight) is a "***!  He's the slim-fast, diet-coke of vampires" (snap...or rather...bite!)  We want to know who do you, our respected viewers, think would win in a fight between True Blood's Bill Compton or the Twilight Tweeny vamp (I forget his name)?

Post your comments, before things get messy.

FX, ONLY THE BEST CHANNEL ON TELEVISION...

...And we have two awards to prove it! That's right, FX earned two gongs last night at the Broadcast Digital Channel awards in London, taking home Channel of the Year...THE YEAR, and Best Entertainment Channel.  Looks like the East-end types at E4, peeps at the BeeB and those Living folk don't have a patch on us!

Keep tuning in to FX-home to Family Guy, Dexter, and True Blood.  You won't regret it.

Moore Money Please

Take a regular "heavy-set" guy in a baseball cap, a bunch of corporate, blood-sucking banks gone broke, and a failing economy and what have you got....?  Find out here:

ARRESTED MOVIE DEVELOPMENT

I recently re-watched the entire series of Fox's Arrested Development...probably one of the best comedy shows ever made next to Curb Your Enthusiasm, so I thought I'd fill you in on the latest developments vis-a-vis rumours of a big-screen adaption.  Superbad's Michael Cera aka George Michael Blooth, when asked in an interview whether an Arrested Development movie would ever happen, he responded

“I think it will. Yeah. I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I don’t think it will happen for awhile.”

I'm not sure if he was trying to stay true to his indecisive character or he really doesn't know. Take from this what you will.  He also shed light on the rumour that a lot of the cast members have said Mitch is working on the script and maybe he'd be shooting later this year: "But there is no rush." Michael said.  "I think he should take his time. I know it means a lot to Mitch.  There is no rush, really. I don't think."

So is that a yes??? Let's hope so.

JUST 'VAMP' GET ENOUGH

We know our obsession with the undead is borderline crazy, but we just can't help it! There is so much out there on vamps leaving us no choice but to ghoulify our blog page.  From the Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries, the assembly line of teeny Twilight movies and the long-awaited UK premiere of True Blood (on FX) to the remake of spooky sci-fi thriller V.  So here is the brand new trailer of Twilight's sequel New Moon.

 Enjoy.

V-FIT

True Blood stars Anna Paquin and her BF and co star Stephen Moyer have joined those of us who are obsessed with getting fit on the Nintendo wii. The Insider can’t get enough of the ski jump game! Anyway Anna and Stephen aren’t staying in and playing the wii at their Venice Beach home. They are far too showbiz for that! Instead they have been spotted at Gold’s Gym (on the famous Abbot Kinney Boulevard in LA) working out on their new wii fit cardio game. What have gyms come to where now everyone is working out on computer games? It beats the old fashioned treadmill though eh?

True Blood premieres on FX on Friday 17th July at 10pm
