    Re: Body count

I really do need to read the books, because, never has one show ever gripped me the way this one has, and there's this unwritten rule that the books are better than the movie/tv show. From the way the series has been, both seasons 1 and 2, and especially the way the second series touches more on Dexter and his emotions, or lack of, opens up peoples minds. Whether to really love Dexter and his deeds, or to condemn him for what he does.

Doakes calls him a killer, even though he's ridding the planet of the scumbags, and you can actually see where Doakes is coming from. Dex has spent his life, living Harry's code, and without it, he has no focus. We need people like Doakes to show the other side of it, the law enforcement side of it, and even if you ain't a fan of Doakes, see it from his point of view, because we only see Dex's side of it in the series.

But, to the original question, the body count. There's a fantastic scene in season 2, and this ain't a spoiler, cos this is what season 2 is about, where the divers are diving where Dex dumps the bodies, and the camera pans back to show a hell of a lot of black bin bags on the ocean floor!! I'm hoping the books go into more details about the bodies, etc...
