    books vs series

absolutely spot on with series one, the perfect dexter. but why oh why didnt you stick with the story line of the second book for series two? it would have been so much true to form and you lost a great story line, especially for doakes and deb! but keep trying, as a jeff lindsey devotee your doing good and i  hope your doing a third series.

Totally agree with you, have read the first book after watching Dexter and think it is pretty spot on.I enjoyed both the book and the series.

I have yet to read the book but is it worth reading it AFTER watching the series?

I really enjoy it and am hoping the book will be even better!

Just finished the first book, started the second. The series follows the first book so much, but, the book lets Dexter come across as a more cold, emotionless person than the series does...

Agree completely; read two of the books-is there a third? And though i loved both, and enjoyed season two, (especially the ending-that postcard,lol!)-but i was also curious why they failed to use a character as good as 'Doctor Danco'. Maybe he'll make an appearance in S3....They'd be daft not to have him make an appearance at some point. Still would find it hard to decide which i prefer out of  the books & series; they're both equally good in their own way.
